This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of production planning and customer service communication. Scheduling duties to plan, schedule, and expedite work orders.
Essential Jobs and ResponsibilitiesAccountable for personal adherence to all applicable Safety, GMP, Food Safety, and Plant PoliciesComplete a minimum of 2 Observation and 2 Near miss audits per month.Professional communication skills, orally written to both internal and external customers.Responsible for working with Supply Chain managing safety stock levels and forecasted items.Plan and schedule personnel and machine loads, material requirements, and all associated paperwork based on sales orders and forecastReview outsourcing inventoriesMake recommendations on material substitution, as appropriate, and within engineering and quality limitationHandles daily scheduling problems that might arise from customer ordersReview O&O, write disposals, and make inventory adjustmentsAssist in raw material planning and orderingCreate weekly reportsPerforms other special tasks as required.

QualificationsBroad knowledge of scheduling, purchasing and inventory controlThis position will have constant interaction with production, inside sales, central supply, warehouse, and external vendors. Must have ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization (written and verbal).Strong organizational and communication skillsBasic working knowledge of Excel and Word SoftwareMust read, write, and speak EnglishExcellent phone manner
GED or High School Diploma Required
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.), preferably in a business, technical or behavioral science discipline or a combination of education and 5-10 years of work-related experience equivalent to a four-year college degree required.
2-4 years of college education or equivalent work experience
Advanced user training in the following computer programs: Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
Spends long hours sitting and frequently required to use repetitive hand motion. Occasionally required to lift supplies and materials (up to 20 pounds).
