Provides diagnostic and medical treatment for impounded, quarantined, sick, or injured animals; administers spay/ neuter clinics.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor from a college or university accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, four (4) years of experience in the practice of veterinary medicine. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

- Must possess a current license in good standing to practice veterinary medicine by the Veterinary Medical Examining Board for the State of Arkansas within thirty (30) days of employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
- Must possess a Department of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license for controlled substances before employment and maintain the licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
- Must possess a valid Arkansas Class D (Non-Commercial Vehicle) Driver's License before employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position.
